The RSL Academy started a stretch of seven consecutive home matches on Saturday at Zions Bank Real Academy in Herriman, beating the Barca Academy in both matches.
The U-19s got goals from Benjamin Ortiz and Luis Arriaga in a 2-0 win over Barca Academy, staying in the playoff chase at 9-3-5. Ortiz now has six goals to his name on the season while Arriaga continues to lead the way with 9 goals this season.
The U17s came from behind to earn a 2-1 win over Barca Academy behind goals from Christopher Garcia and Alejandro Silva to climb to 8-7-2 on the season. Silva’s goal was his first of the season while Garcia notched his fifth goal of the year in the victory.
The Academy sides will take on FC Golden State on Saturday, March 16, from the Zions Bank Real Academy, with the U17s starting at 11 a.m. and the U19s at 1:30 p.m.
