Over the weekend the Real Salt Lake Academy traveled to Northern California for its first double-header weekend of the Spring season, playing Sacramento Republic FC on Saturday, February 26 and Ballistic United on Sunday, February 27.
The U17s earned consecutive wins, first with a 2-0 shutout victory against Sacramento.. On Sunday, Terron Williams let loose, notching four goals for the U17s clinching a 4-2 win over Ballistic.
With five players missing due to call ups from the United States and Mexico Youth National Team camps, the U15s got off to a slow start, losing 5-1 to Sacramento with Tony Ramirez scoring the lone goal for RSL. However, the U15s bounced back quickly on Sunday with an abundance of goals, defeating Ballistic 7-0. Axel Uriostegui scored a brace with Jahmani Stapleton, Gilberto Garcia, Alan Carmona, Max Lora, and Juan Landeros finding the back of the net as well.Â
The Academy will now travel to the Pacific Northwest where they will play the Portland Timbers Academy on Saturday, March 5. The U15s will return to full strength retaining their players from Youth National Team camps for its matches in Portland.
