HERRIMAN, UT (January 29, 2024) – Utah Royals FC today announced the club’s initial preseason roster. The 24-player roster is comprised of three goalkeepers, seven defenders, six midfielders, and eight forwards.
URFC started roster construction by bringing in former Orlando Pride midfielder, Mikayla Cluff, as the Club's first player in its new era. The Royals then brought in NWSL vets through trades, free agency and the expansion draft, while also acquiring seven players through the NWSL draft. In addition to the talent acquired domestically, Swedish youth international Agnes Nyberg and Dutch youth international Dana Foederer also joined Head Coach Amy Rodriguez’s side.
The Club will kick off preseason training in Cancun, Mexico before returning home ahead of the 2024 season.
