Adopt, Don't Shop: Find Your Fur-Ever Friend

Puppies at the RSL event will be available for adoption the following week. Please keep an eye on their website as it updates hourly. www.utahhumane.org/adopt

Pets that are available at the Humane Society of Utah are displayed below.
This site updates almost immediately. Some pets may be adopted quickly after being made available. If there is an animal you’re interested in, please visit them in person at our Adoption Center in Murray, 11 AM – 7 PM, Sunday-Friday and 10 AM -7 PM on Saturday. The Humane Society of Utah is not able to hold an animal for a potential adopter as our kennel space is in high demand for other animals.

  • Adoptable pets are housed at our Adoption Center at 4242 S 300 West in Murray. If a pet is in a foster home, you can set up an appointment to meet them at our facility.
  • Adopters will take home their new pet right after the adoption process is complete.
  • All cats, dogs, and rabbits are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated before they become available for adoption.

Become a Volunteer!

The Humane Society of Utah depends on its volunteers for many crucial tasks, and it is their goal to provide each volunteer with a fulfilling volunteer experience. Volunteer opportunities allow HSU volunteers to work side-by-side with staff as they save the lives of more than 7,000 homeless pets each year.

Consider Donating to the Humane Society

The Humane Society of Utah is a 501(c)3 nonprofit animal welfare organization. It relies solely on funding from individuals, foundations, and businesses and does not receive local, state, or federal funding support.

Founded in 1960, the Humane Society of Utah is the largest Pet Resource Center in the state. HSU welcomes any companion animal who can be legally admitted and works hard to find each animal in their care a loving home.

The Humane Society of Utah does not euthanize any healthy or treatable animal in their care and exceeds nationally accepted no-kill standards. Its approach is always to find the best, most humane outcome for the animals in its care and create an environment of respect, responsibility, and compassion through its programs, advocacy, and education.
