Real Salt Lake U-15s 2-1 San Jose Earthquakes U-15s
Real Salt Lake U-15s finished its Generation adidas Cup venture in Herriman with a --- against the San Jose Earthquakes U-15s on Monday afternoon. Throughout the first half of play, RSL pressured the San Jose goal, forcing the ‘Quakes goalkeeper Ryan Aiken into multiple key saves to keep RSL at bay. Late in first half, it was RSL goalkeeper Jeff Dewsnup’s turn to play savior, denying what looked a sure goal inside the six-yard box, quickly reacting to parry the ball away to safety as the score remained scoreless at the halftime break.
Early in the second half Chadwick Booth calmly slotted home a first-time inside the penalty area for RSL to take the lead. San Jose immediately struck back, drawing a penalty just one minute later as Nour Zahzah drove the penalty home to bring the score level at one apiece. Booth notched a penalty kick of his own midway through the second half as his effort from the spot skipped past Aiken for the 2-1 lead.
