SANDY, Utah (Saturday, March 26, 2016) – Real Salt Lake midfielder Omar Holness suffered an apparent seizure Saturday night while playing on loan with Real Monarchs SLC in the USL. The match was delayed 20 minutes in the 34th minute while medical personnel attended to Holness on the field. He was taken immediately to a local hospital for evaluation.

Holness was selected fifth overall in the 2016 MLS SuperDraft after playing collegiately at the University of North Carolina. The 22-year-old has one cap with the Jamaican National Team.
UPDATE: (9:14 pm) Initial reports from the hospital indicate that Holness is alert and responsive, while medical testing is ongoing.
UPDATE: (11:37 pm) Holness was released from the hospital. He will continue to undergo testing in the coming days under the supervision of Dr. Mike Cosgrave and the Real Salt Lake medical staff.
