Wearing the captain's armband for RSL since 2008, Beckerman has become a staple for club for the past 12 seasons. He has played in 29,832 minutes across the regular season and playoffs for RSL, scoring 30 goals and providing 34 assists. One of the league's most recognizable players, Beckerman helped usher the club to and MLS Cup Championship in 2009 and an MLS Cup Final in 2013 before featuring in the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil for the United States where he played significant minutes.

Professional Career
2019: RSL’s longtime captain returned for his 13th season with the club and started in 24 of his 25 regular season appearances. He also saw the starting eleven in the club’s two playoff games. Throughout the season, Beckerman tallied five assists in 2,304 minutes. Beckerman’s assist total was the most he has had in a season since 2013.
2018: Beckerman started 29 matches for RSL in his 12th season with the club, playing 2621 minutes and scoring one goal while assisting on one occasion. On May 30th Beckerman became the 22nd player in league history to reach 40 goals and 50 assists in his Major League Soccer career. Six of those 22 players have passed through RSL as Beckerman joins Clint Mathis, Chris Klein, Jason Kreis, Jeff Cunningham and Javier Morales on that list. Beckerman was voted RSL's 2018 Jordan Gernsey Humanitarian of the Year for his wide ranging and extensive work in the community.
2017: Beckerman started and played in 26 matches for the Claret-and-Cobalt in his 11th season with the club. In 2,242 minutes of play in 2017, Beckerman scored four goals including a last-gasp strike to equalize against the LA Galaxy on September 30. The league's all-time leader in minutes (36,017), games played (432) and games started (403) resigned with the club in January 2018 for his 19th season in Major League Soccer.
2016: Starting and appearing in 27 games for the club in 2016, Beckerman logged 2,367 minutes while tallying a single assist. On August 26 Beckerman surpassed Steve Ralston as the leagues all time minutes leader bringing his total to a staggering 33,775 through 406 games. As the captain of the club he completed his tenth season in an RSL shirt, completing his 17th season in Major League Soccer. He was one of two commissioner’s picks to the 2016 MLS All-Star Game. Beckerman played 90 minutes in both games against Liga MX side Tigres in CONCACAF Champions League play.
2015: Beckerman surpassed Steve Ralston to become the all-time leader with 379 career games played - the most by a field player in league history. He made 26 appearances, all in a starting role, with one goal and two assists. His contributions in CONCACAF Champions League also rocketed the team to the quarterfinal round and to the U.S. Open Cup semifinals. In addition to his time with RSL, Beckerman also made nine appearances with the U.S. National Team to amass 51 caps in his international career.
2014: Beckerman shined as the RSL captain in his eighth season with the club. He finished the year with three goals and three assists, including one goal in the regular season finale. However, his greatest highlight came in representing the U.S. National Team at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil. There, he started and played all 90 minutes in all three Group Stage matches as the U.S. went 1-1-1 to advance to the Round of 16. Outside of the six matches he missed while on international duty, Beckerman played every minute of every match he was available for, logging 28 appearances on the season. During the season, he surpassed 200 career regular season matches with RSL, now with 205 appearances with the Claret-and-Cobalt. He also was named to the MLS All-Star team for the eighth consecutive season, but did not play in the match.
2013: Captained Real Salt Lake through one of the club’s most successful seasons – his 14th season in MLS – which saw RSL reach the U.S. Open Cup Final, qualify for the postseason for the sixth-consecutive year and arrive at the MLS Cup Final … Beckerman continued to be one of the league’s best defensive midfielders, notching four goals and recording six assists for the Claret-and-Cobalt in the regular season … Finished in the top-five on RSL with six assists (third), 46 shots (fourth), 17 shots on goal (fourth), 7 yellow cards (first) ...
