Professional Career

2021 Real Salt Lake: As the Club’s primary starting goalkeeper, Ochoa played and started in 25 matches in 2021, registering five clean sheets and registering 83 saves. Saved Carlos Vela’s second half penalty kick on July 17. Helped RSL to a penalty shootout victory over Seattle Sounders FC by saving Seattle’s sixth shot, paving the way for fellow Homegrown Justen Glad to score the winning shot.

2020 Real Salt Lake: Ochoa made one appearance for Real Salt Lake in a shortened 2020 season, a 2-0 loss at home against Sporting Kansas City on November 8. Ochoa had four saves in the game. He appeared on the bench as the backup goalkeeper in 20 matches during the season.

2019 Real Monarchs: Ochoa started at goalkeeper for Real Monarchs in all 20 of his appearances in 2019. He recorded 69 saves from 96 shots faced and four clean sheets in 1,830 minutes. In addition to Ochoa’s 71.9 percent save success rate, he saved one penalty. Ochoa started all four games and recorded 15 saves throughout the Monarchs title-winning playoff run. Ochoa was a regular call-up to the USMNT U-20 and U-23 sides through the year.2018 Real Monarchs: Featured once for Real Monarchs SLC in 2018, a start on April 22 in a 2-0 loss at the Tampa Bay Rowdies that made him the second-youngest goalkeeper to debut at the USL level to date. Ochoa was an RSL Academy stand-out from 2016-2018.

International Career (USA)

2020: Ochoa received his first call up to the USA senior team for an international friendly in December 2020, but was replaced due to injury.

2019: A regular choice for U.S. Under-20 Head Coach Tab Ramos, Ochoa made three appearances, including two starts in the 2019 U-20 World Cup in Poland.

2018: The young goalkeeper made three starts for the U.S. U-18 squad in the 2018 Vaclav Jezek Tournament. On August 25, Ochoa made several saves in a penalty shootout to win in the tournament against Japan U-18. Later in the year, Ochoa helped the U-20s qualify for the 2019 U-20 World Cup in Poland when the States won its second consecutive CONCACAF U-20 title.

2017: Ochoa started for the U.S. U-16s in a match against Belgium U-16 on April 11, 2017.
