REAL SALT LAKE AND ZIONS BANK TRAINING CENTER TO HOST 2020 SPRING DA CUP QUALIFYING
World-Class Facility Hosts Qualifying Round for Second Consecutive Year
Real Salt Lake together with the RSL Academy are set to host the 2020 Generation adidas Cup Spring Regional Qualifying Tournament from Friday, February 14 to Monday, February 17 at Zions Bank Real Academy in Herriman, Utah. This will be the second year the club has hosted the regional qualifying matches.
The tournament will see clubs at the U-15 and U-17 age groups compete across three days – Friday, Feb. 14, Saturday, Feb. 15 and Monday Feb. 17 inside the indoor facility. All U-17s matches will be played on the West Field while all U-15 matches will be held on the East Field. In total, six Major League Soccer Academy sides will be welcomed to Utah for the tournament. The RSL Academy currently leads both qualifying age group brackets.
The top two teams from each group will advance to play in Division 1 of the 2020 Generation adidas Cup Finals at the Toyota Soccer Center in Frisco, Texas. The third and fourth placed teams from each group will play in Division 2 and the remaining teams will play in Division 3.
Also, the Under-15 age group (players born on or after Jan. 1, 2005) will again be represented at this year's finals. 24 U-15 MLS clubs go through Regional Qualifying. The four group winners will advance to the Final Event to compete in an 8-team international challenge.
Admission to each match during the tournament is free of charge and fans are strongly encouraged to attend to witness the rising talent in American soccer.
