Zac MacMath Wins MLSSoccer.com Save of the Week For Second Time This Season

Real Salt Lake goalkeeper Zac MacMath has won MLSSoccer.com's Save of the Week for his dramatic penalty kick save against Los Angeles Galaxy midfielder Riqui Puig in RSL’s pivotal 1-1 draw last weekend. 

MacMath’s save helped the Claret-and-Cobalt get the result it needed to control its own destiny going into Decision Day against the Portland Timbers on October 9.

Besides his penalty kick save against Puig in the 17’ of the match, MacMath made six additional saves capping off an exceptional performance. 

This will be MacMath’s second time winning the MLSSoccer.com’s Save of the Week, the previous time winning in June in RSL 3-0 victory against Houston. 

Against Portland this weekend, MacMath will have the opportunity to become the first RSL player to play every minute of a 34 game MLS Regular Season.
