Utah Ukrainan Association Visits RSL

Real Salt Lake welcomed 40 people from the Utah Ukrainian Association to their match against the LA Galaxy on April 30th.

The Utah Ukrainian Association is a non-proful organization that addresses various humanitarian needs in Ukraine with the help of the Utah community.

Anya Baryshok, President of UUA, and Ivan Bagmet, a board member of the UAA were among those in attendance for the match.

“We're helping a lot with collect humanitarian help sending them to Ukraine. Working with different organizations we’re able to send food and medication,” said Baryskok.

"What I was most impressed today is that I saw quite a lot of Ukrainian support here,” said Bagmet. “I took photos and saw seven different places where there were Ukrainian flags and it melted my heart. I want to post on Facebook these photos and show people, these flags aren’t in Kyiv, Odessa or Lviv, these flags are at a Real Salt Lake match in the middle of Utah, which is amazing.”

For any RSL fans looking to help the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine, Baryshok said there are many ways that they can help.

“We're doing fundraisers all the time,” said Baryshok. We're actually having a 5K run for Ukraine in May and we’re always looking for donations.
