SANDY, Utah – (Tuesday, February 25, 2020) – Utah Royals FC in conjunction with the National Women’s Soccer League announced its full regular-season schedule for the 2020 season.
URFC will play 24 games, facing each NWSL team three times. As previously announced, Utah will open the year against the Portland Thorns on April 18 at Providence Park and the home opener will be played on April 24 against the Orlando Pride at Rio Tinto Stadium.

Utah Royals FC will be tasked with a tough schedule in the second month of the season, playing four out of six games on the road in the month of May. Utah will begin a three-game road swing on May 2 in Washington. From there they will travel to face the Chicago Red Stars on May 9 and then Houston Dash on May 16. The next week will include three games in a nine-day period starting at home against Portland on May 22. The week will see the first midweek matchup of the season versus Reign FC on May 27 at Cheney Stadium. The six-game month will conclude at Rio Tinto Stadium on May 30 with Chicago.

This year Utah will have six games on Friday nights, all of which will be played at home in Rio Tinto Stadium. Royals FC will facethe Orlando Pride, Portland Thorns, Houston Dash, Washington Spirit and twice against the North Carolina Courage during these Friday night matchups.
RUN IT BACK
Utah will finish out the year on Sunday, October 18, the same way they start, against the Portland Thorns at Providence Park. This will be the first year that Royals FC closes out the year on the road. In the past two seasons Utah has finished the season in the comfort of their own home at Rio Tinto Stadium, defeating Chicago in 2018 and Houston in 2019.

For the first time in team history Utah Royals FC will play the weekend of July 4, facing Houston Dash at home on Friday, July 3. The match will serve as a patriotic celebration, complete with fireworks at the end of the night.
