SANDY, UT (Friday, September 7, 2018) – Utah Royals FC (8-7-8, 32 pts., NWSL 5th place) closes out the club’s inaugural season at Rio Tinto Stadium on Saturday in the regular season home finale against the playoff-bound Chicago Red Stars (9-4-10, 37 points, NWSL 4th place). Saturday’s match begins at 1:30 p.m. MT, with the NWSL digital feed available locally via the KSL 5 TV app and KSL.com.
Utah Royals FC – unbeaten in five of its last six games – concludes its inaugural season with the return of eight players from international duty – FW Christen Press, FW Amy Rodriguez, DF Kelley O’Hara and DF Becky Sauerbrunn with the U.S.; MF Desiree Scott and MF Diana Matheson with Canada; MF Gunny Jonsdottir with Iceland and DF Rachel Corsie with Scotland, who qualified for the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
