RSL-AZ U-18’s REMAIN UNDEFEATED AFTER SUCCESSFUL WEEKEND IN SO-CAL
The Real Salt Lake-Arizona Academy U-18’s kept their unbeaten record intact their last time out, picking up a win and a draw against a pair of Southern California rivals.
The U-18’s drew their first match, tying Irvine Strikers FC 3-3 in Southern California on Saturday, Nov. 3. The team picked up a win the next day, getting a goal at the death to beat Pateadores FC 2-1 on Sunday, Nov. 4.
FW Jose Navarro was the star for the U-18’s, scoring four goals – including a first half hat trick against Irvine – in the two matches to move his season total to seven. MF Riggs Lennon also played well, picking up two assists to help the U-18’s stay unbeaten.
The U-18’s are now 6-0-2 in the U.S. Soccer Developmental Academy season, good enough for first place in the West Conference’s Southwest Division.
RSL-AZ U-16’s PICK UP TWO WINS, MOVE TO 6-0-2 ON THE USSDA SEASON
The Real Salt Lake-Arizona Academy U-16’s picked up two wins two weekends ago, downing Irvine Strikers FC and Pateadores FC to improve to 6-0-2 on the USSDA season.
RSL-AZ turned in a dominating performance in its first game, downing Irvine 4-1 on Saturday, Nov. 3. The U-16’s picked up another win on Sunday, Nov. 4, beating Pateadores 2-1 to cap a six-point weekend.
FW Sebastian Saucedo and Damian German were the stars for the U-16’s, with Saucedo scoring a goal and adding two assists and German notching a pair of goals.
Like their U-18 counterparts, the U-16’s are now 6-0-2 in the Developmental Academy season. The squad sits in first-place in the West Conference’s Southwest Division, holding a comfortable six-point lead on second-place Chivas USA.

The RSL-AZ U-16’s are 12 points up on the fourth-place U-16 Galaxy, which also has two games in hand on their RSL-AZ counterparts.
