Real Salt Lake U-15 0-7 Los Angeles Football Club U-15
In the first match of the 2018 Generation adidas Cup Fall Regional for the U-15 group, LAFC handed RSL a 7-0 loss. LAFC dominated possession throughout the first half and found the game’s opening goal through Kevin Jimenez who calmly tapped home after a lovely assist from Beau Yantz. Shortly after the opening goal, Franco De Luna struck a free kick that took a deflection off the RSL wall before trickling into the net. Christian Torres scored the third goal of the match for LAFC, calmly tucking away a breakaway.
LAFC started the second half much like the first, notching a fourth courtesy of Dylan Presto. The California club found its fifth goal courtesy of an RSL own goal from Miguel Avalos. Through sustained possession and numerous clear chances at goal, LAFC found its sixth though Elmer Juarez who finished into an open net after the ball bounced off the cross bar. Just two minutes later, Fernando put home a wonderful diving header past the RSL substitute goalkeeper.
