REAL SALT LAKE TRAVELS TO SEATTLE TO FACE SOUNDERS FC ON WEDNESDAY
Kickoff set for 8:00 p.m. MT from CenturyLink Field
SANDY, Utah
– (Wednesday, October 7, 2020) –
Real Salt Lake
is set to kick off the first of three consecutive matches against Cascadia opposition on Wednesday, October 7 when it faces Seattle Sounders FC at CenturyLink Field in Seattle. Kickoff is set for 8:00 p.m. MT and will be broadcast locally on KMYU, the KSL TV app and ESPN700 radio.
RSL enters Sunday’s match after falling 3-1 to LAFC on Sunday in Utah, a match that saw RSL’s comeback fall short despite a

Wednesday will be the 27
th
all-time meeting between RSL and Seattle as RSL looks to advance its 3-9-2 record in Seattle since 2009. In the last meeting between the sides,

each notched goals in a 2-2 draw at Rio Tinto Stadium on September 2.
Seattle enters the midweek contest after claiming a 3-1 win over Vancouver Whitecaps FC in Seattle last Saturday. Sounders FC sits atop the Western Conference ahead of Wednesday’s match.

to the team for the 2020 season. Putna saw action in goal for RSL and Real Monarchs last season, starting five of RSL’s 34 matches while earning two shutouts on the year in RSL’s dominant 3-0 victory over 2019 expansion side FC Cincinnati on April 19 and a scoreless draw against New England on September 21.
