HERIMMAN, UTAH (Thursday, January 21, 2021) – Real Salt Lake selected forward Aris Briggs from Georgia State University in the third round of the 2021 MLS SuperDraft presented by adidas with the 61st overall pick.
“Aris is a powerful, relentless attacking player with game changing potential. We are happy to welcome him to Real Salt Lake,” Real Salt Lake Assistant General Manager Tony Beltransaid.
A two-time Sun Belt Offensive Player of the Year, Aris scored 27 goals in 53 appearances for Georgia State, including 16 goals during his junior season. He added five goals in his senior season, good for second-most in the country.
