Real Salt Lake will celebrate their second annual AAPI Night against LAFC at Rio Tinto Stadium on August 6, 2022.
“The AAPI community has a rich tradition and heritage in Utah. We're honored to not only recognize that, but honor them in our annual dedicated match,” said Tyler Gibbons, VP of Marketing and Game Production at Real Salt Lake.
Since 2012, August has been declared Utah’s Pacific Island Heritage Month and Real Salt Lake is proud to highlight the entire AAPI community against LAFC on Saturday.
RSL striker, Bobby Wood, will be signing posters in the plaza outside the RioT from 6:45 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. as well as the RSL website and social channels will be releasing a variety of content including AAPI player, employee and local business spotlights as well as using AAPI themed graphics across its platforms.
“AAPI night allows us as a Club to continue to celebrate all of our fans and community which help make the RioT such a unique and special place,” said Kyle Schroeder, RSL Director of Community and Player Engagement. “The AAPI community is an important part of both our fanbase and all of Salt Lake City and we are honored to be able to recognize them on a larger scale.”
