Last weekend, the RSL Academy U-15s and U-17s traveled to Southern California to take on Los Angeles Football club in Pasadena.
Kicking off the weekend, the RSL U-15s fell 2-1 to LAFC as Anwar Ben Rhouma Torres’ second half goal wasn’t enough with LAFC notching a goal on either side of halftime to claim victory.
In the second match of the day, the RSL U-17s claimed a dominant 3-0 shutout victory over LAFC as Christopher Garcia’s second half hattrick proved overwhelming for the hosts. With his hattrick, Garcia now leads the U-17s with six goals on the year.
The RSL U-15s now sit third in the USSDA West Division with a 5-2-0 (15 points record through seven matches. The RSL U-17s also sit third in the USSDA West Division standings with a 3-0-1 (13 points) record through four matches played.
Next up for the U-17s is a trip to Lakewood Ranch, Florida from December 5-8 where it will face Weston, Sporting Kansas City and Baltimore Armour. The U-15s will not see regular season action until February 22 when it faces LA Galaxy San Diego in Carlsbad, California. The U-19s will return to action as well on February 22 with it faces FC Dallas in Frisco, Texas.
