As the Generation adidas Cup qualifying round finished up on Monday at Zions Bank Training Center in Herriman, Utah, the RSL Academy U-17 officially booked its place in the GA Cup finals in Frisco, Texas. The GA Cup finals will take place April 4-11.
The RSL Academy U-17 learned the group in which it will feature come April as it will face Spanish side Real Betis, Argentinian side CA River Plate and fellow MLS side Toronto FC in Group D.
The U-17s solidified its spot in Division 1 for the finals after finishing atop Group C, earning 13 points after a 4-1-1 record and a +5-goal differential, including a 1-1-1 record in Herriman last weekend. RSL beat out New York Red Bulls, Inter Miami CF, Philadelphia Union, D.C. United and the New England Revolution to secure its spot in Division 1.
