General thoughts on the match:
“I think the way we defended wasn’t effect enough and that’s on me. Just said to the players, they’ve given everything over the past two and a half months. They’ve worked their absolute (backsides) off to get to this point and I didn’t do them justice tonight, that’s on me. We’ll be better, we’ll be sure that we prepare better. Washington are a good side and I’ve said that all along, but we couldn't solve the things that we needed to solve tonight. We tried and the players worked hard to try and make it work, but we have to be better and give them more solutions to the problems.”
On where the team goes from here:
“We just have to be better. We have to be better on the ball, we have to be better defensively. I think that tonight was will be a good thing for us, we’ll learn from it, we learned from the Houston game and we solved a lot of things. The girls never gave up, I think that’s the positive about tonight, they never gave up at any point, but you can’t play against a team like them and let them pass the ball around like they did because it just becomes hard. So, we had a plan and it didn’t work, but we will be better in preparation for Sky Blue.”
