COMMERCE CITY, Colo. – The Real Salt Lake Reserves (2-0-1, 7 points, West #1) tied the Colorado Rapids Reserves (1-1-1, 4 points, West #2) 0-0 on Saturday night at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park.
Both teams had several chances; Real Salt Lake MF Yordany Alvarez had two shots barely skim the top of the net and Rapids MF Dillon Serna had two left footed shots that went wide and high of the net
Real Salt Lake-Arizona Academy players Coco Navarro and Sebastian Saucedo both got valuable playing experience in the match. Navarro, who is committed to play at Marquette University in the fall, started and played all 90 minutes on Saturday. Saucedo – a Park City, Utah native and one of the top players in the class of 2015 – played the entire second half, coming on for FW Olmes Garcia.
The RSL Reserves next match is next Sunday, April 14 at Vancouver Whitecaps FC Reserves. The April 14 match will kickoff at 12 p.m. MT and will be played at UBC Thunderbirds Stadium.
