HERRIMAN, Utah (Friday, March 17, 2023) – Real Salt Lake’s goalkeeper **Gavin Beavers** has been selected for the U-19 United States Youth National Team roster.
Beavers will travel with the U-19 team to Buenos Aires, Argentina for a series of matches against Argentina and Racing Club de Avellaneda.
This marks the second-consecutive call up for Beavers this year who was also on the U-19 roster for the January training camp.
Beavers has now become a mainstay at the U-19 level, having been selected by Head Coach Marko Mitrovic for four camps. With Real Salt Lake Beavers, the Club’s 31st all-time Homegrown Player, made his first-ever appearance on a gameday roster for a Major League Soccer Match in the season opener against Vancouver Whitecaps FC. Additionally, the 17-year-old ‘keeper was also chosen as the backup for the team’s home opener against Austin FC.
Utah’s Major League Soccer side is currently in the midst of its 19th season in Major League Soccer. Over the past two seasons, RSL has earned an 18W-8L-9T home record at what is now known as America First Field in Sandy, setting a new Club mark in 2022 and 2023 with 18 sellout crowds in as many MLS contests at the 15-year-old venue.
