Rusnák Will Join Slovakia for a Friendly Against Denmark
and 2018-2019 UEFA Nations League B Match Against Ukraine;
Savarino and Venezuela Will Face Colombia and Panama in Friendlies;
Both are Expected to Return Prior to RSL’s Home Match
on September 15 Against Minnesota United
SANDY, Utah (Friday, September 31, 2018) – Real Salt Lake MF Albert Rusnák and FW Jefferson Savarino have been called in to their respective countries for international duty during the upcoming FIFA window. Rusnák will join the Slovakian National Team for a friendly in Slovakia against Denmark on September 5 before facing Ukraine in the first match of the UEFA Nations League B match in Ukraine on September 9. Savarino will play with the Venezuelan National Team in a pair of friendlies in Miami against Colombia on September 7 and in Panama against Panama on September 11. The duo will be available on Saturday when Real Salt Lake hosts the LA Galaxy (8 p.m. MT, Rio Tinto Stadium) and are scheduled to return prior to RSL’s match on September 15 against Minnesota United FC (7:30 p.m. MT, Rio Tinto Stadium).

In his second MLS season, Rusnák is RSL’s co-leader in scoring with eight goals to go with his six assists on the year. In 55 MLS matches over two seasons, he has 15 goals and 20 assists. He has three goals in the last two matches for Real Salt Lake, leading the charge in consecutive road wins over the Houston Dynamo and Colorado Rapids.
Rusnák, 24, has 12 caps for Slovakia, scoring his lone goal in March in the 2018 King’s Cup in Thailand.
Also in his second season with RSL, Savarino is the club leader in assists this season after notching two goals and two assists in the last two matches. He has five goals and eight assists this season and 11 goals and 13 assists in 48 matches since coming to Real Salt Lake early last season.
Savarino, 21, made his international debut at Rio Tinto Stadium, coming on as a substitute in a friendly against the U.S. on June 3, 2017.
