SANDY, Utah – Real Salt Lake has announced its broadcast schedule for the 2014 MLS regular season. The Claret-and-Cobalt will be featured on seven national broadcasts – more than double the number of national television games the club had in the 2013 regular season – while every other match will be broadcast locally on ABC 4 or CW30.
Six of Real Salt Lake’s 2014 regular season matches will air on NBC Sports Network (March 22 v. LA Galaxy, Aug. 16 v. Seattle Sounders FC, Aug. 22 at FC Dallas, Sept. 12 at Seattle Sounders FC, Sept. 19 v. Colorado Rapids, Oct. 17 at Portland Timbers) and one will air on ESPN2 (July 30 v. New York Red Bulls). ABC 4 will broadcast 10 of Real Salt Lake’s regular season matches, while CW30 will air the remaining 17.
ABC 4 will broadcast five of RSL’s first six matches, including the Claret-and-Cobalt’s season opener against LA Galaxy on March 8 at 8:30 p.m. MT at StubHub Center. Real Salt Lake’s first national broadcast of the 2014 season will be its home opener against LA Galaxy on March 22 at 2:00 p.m. MT at Rio Tinto Stadium. The match will be broadcast live on NBC Sports Network.
