SANDY, Utah – (Friday, September 11, 2020) – Real Salt Lake returns to the field to welcome regional rival Colorado Rapids on Saturday, September 12 at Rio Tinto Stadium. The match is set to kick off at 7:30 p.m. MT and will be broadcast live on KMYU, the KSL TV app and ESPN700 radio.

RSL is coming off the back of its first regular season victory over LAFC on Wednesday, a match that saw RSL drop the visitors 3-0 behind goals from Damir Kreilach, Justin Meram and Albert Rusnák. In goal, Andrew Putna earned his third career shutout, finishing the match with eight saves.
Saturday will be the 48th all-time meeting between RSL and the Rapids and the 25th time the Rapids have traveled to Utah. RSL holds a dominating 23-13-11 all-time record over its Rocky Mountain rivals, including a resounding 15-3-6 record at home since 2005.
In the last meeting between the sides, RSL came from behind to score four unanswered goals for a 4-1 win in Commerce City, Colorado, on August 22 as Kreilach, Meram, Maikel Chang and Corey Baird each found the net in each team’s first match back during Major League Soccer’s continuation of play.
