Real Salt Lake midfielder Pablo Ruiz has been named to MLSsoccer.com's MLS Team of the Week for week 13 following the team’s dramatic come-from-behind 2-1 victory at CF Montreal.
Ruiz provided the equalizing assist, servicing a corner kick directly to the head of Justen Glad to level the score at 1-1 in the 54th minute. Ruiz was also instrumental in setting up the eventual game-winning goal, hitting a long ball to Maikel Chang who flicked the pass onto Sergio Cordova to go up 2-1. In addition to his service, Ruiz added a team-leading five tackles and three chances created.
This is Ruiz’ first appearance on MLSsoccer.com's Team of the Week. Ruiz is in the midst of his fifth season with Real Salt Lake, appearing in 12 of the team’s 13 matches thus far this year. Ruiz currently leads RSL with four assists, tied with Chang, he has also added one goal.
