Real Salt Lake goalkeeper Zac MacMath has been named to MLSsoccer.com's MLS Team of the Week for week 4, while Homegrown defender Tate Schmitt has earned a spot on the bench, following the team’s 2-1 victory over Nashville SC
MacMath made seven saves to help the team secure the win, matching a personal career high in Claret-and-Cobalt. His seven saves helped him eclipse the 450 save record, bringing his professional total to 452 saves across 204 appearances.
Meanwhile, Schmitt scored his second-consecutive game winner, running onto the end of a cross from Maikel Chang in the 54th minute to give RSL the 2-1 lead and eventual win.
This is MacMath’s second nod on Team of the Week this season, earning a spot on the bench after week 2’s win over Seattle Sounders FC, while this week’s nomination is the first-ever for Schmitt.
