Man of the Match: Real Salt Lake captain Albert Rusnák achieved a 97% passing accuracy, completing 32 of his 33 passes, eight of which contributed to goal scoring opportunities. Rusnak assisted on RSL’s lone goal of the night, hitting a cross into the feet of Justen Glad who tucked the ball into the back of the net to take the first-half lead. He now has a goal or an assist in each of the last three matches.
Telling Stat: The first half saw a flurry of chances for Real Salt Lake with 13 shots, seven of which were on target. The second half saw those numbers dip with only two shots on target and seven shots total. Real Salt Lake forced Houston Dynamo goalkeeper Marko Marcic to make seven saves.
