Man of the Match: In his seventh start for Real Salt Lake, Tate Schmitt was dominant on both sides of the ball. Not only did he score the game-winning goal, but he led the team in shots with three and won 11 tackles on the defensive side of the ball.
Telling Stat: Goalkeeper Zac MacMath recorded seven saves against Nashville SC, allowing just one goal on their 16 shots. MacMath’s seven saves helped him surpass the milestone of 450 career saves.
What You Missed: Real Salt Lake remained unbeaten to start the season, defeating Nashville SC 2-1 behind goals from Bobby Wood and Homegrown Tate Schmitt, assisted by Justin Meram and Maikel Chang, respectively.
