Man of the Match: Forward Sergio Cordova got back to his scoring ways, netting his fifth goal of the 2022 season. Cordova put consistent pressure on the backline to keep RSL in the match, setting up multiple corners and nearly breaking through on a few occasions as he looked for the brace. Additionally, Cordova is now tied with fellow Venezuelan Jefferson Savarino for the Club lead in goals with five a piece.

Telling Stat: Following tonight’s loss, Real Salt Lake has now dropped five consecutive matches to LAFC. This is the first time RSL has ever lost five matches in a row to one team and the first time the Club has dropped two consecutive home matches since November 2021. RSL and LAFC have never ended a match in a draw with the California side now leading the all-time series 9-2-0.

What You Missed: Real Salt Lake drop its second-consecutive match at home for the first time since November 3, 2021, falling 2-1 to LAFC. Forward Sergio Cordova netted his fifth goal in Claret-and-Cobalt while RSL Homegrown Andrew Brody bagged his fourth assist of the season. Additionally, the Club extended its sellout streak to 12 matches with a record-breaking attendance of 21,810, the highest attendance ever at Rio Tinto Stadium.
