Arturo Gomez Jr. was honored as the RSL Season Ticket Member of the Match on October 19th against the Vancouver Whitecaps. Arturo has been a dedicated fan for about seven years, but he started following RSL even before moving to Salt Lake City, driving all the way from San Diego to watch the games.
One of his most memorable moments with RSL was during a game against Tigres in the CONCACAF Champions League when he accidentally fell off the Capo Stand—which led to him meeting his future wife.
Arturo's favorite players are Joao Plata and Nick Rimando. He likes Plata because he’s just a bit taller than him, and he admires Rimando because, like Arturo, Rimando was also a shorter goalkeeper. For Arturo, the energy of the fans and the fun atmosphere at the games make being a season ticket holder a "no-brainer."
