Real Salt Lake was proud to announce Shane Lucas as its Season Ticket Member of the Match. Shane was honored at Saturday's match against Colorado on May 18.
About Shane Lucas:
Shane was among the first 100 to purchase vouchers for season tickets and hasn't missed a season since 2005. One of his favorite RSL memories dates back to the 2009 MLS Cup in Seattle, where he witnessed Robbie Finley's goal to tie the match and Robbie Russell's decisive winning penalty in sudden death. Initially not a soccer fan, his love for the game blossomed through his oldest son Brendan, who, from the age of 3, was a devoted fan and pleaded for season tickets when the team was formed. Choosing a favorite player is as challenging as picking a favorite child for him, but he has a special admiration for those who play with passion, citing players like Ned Grabavoy, Fabian Espindola, Robbie Findley, Jameson Olave, and modern-day players such as Chicho, Luna, Gomez, and Plata. The greatest joy of being season ticket holder for Shane is sharing the excitement of RSL with family and friends in section 26.
