Real Salt Lake was proud to announce McKenna Grappendorf as their Season Ticket Member of the Match. Grappendorf was honored at Saturday’s match against Minnesota United FC on June 24th.Â
This is Grappendorf’s second year as a season ticket holder but she’s been a fan of the Club for a while. She recalls her favorite memory with the team being Nick Rimando’s final game.Â
“My favorite memory of the Club was August 24th 2019 when we played Colorado and won 2-0, but the biggest reason this was my favorite game was because it was my last game I’d ever be able to see Rimando play live as he was retiring,” Grappendorf said.
“After the game my dad and I waited around a little and sure enough, Rimando came over to the section I was in and was signing a bunch of things for people. This had never happened to me before and I was so excited. He signed my jersey and it made my whole entire night.”
Grappendorf also loves sharing her love for the Club and the game with others, as she tries to take as many new people to the games with her if she can.
“I never miss a game now that we’re season ticket holders,” Grappendorf said.
“One of my favorite things to do is get other people who have never been to come and I explain the game to them. It’s always a great time.”
