SANDY, Utah (Wednesday, August 22, 2018) – Utah Royals FC FW Christen Press, DF Becky Sauerbrunn and D/F Kelley O’Hara have been called up to represent the U.S. Women’s National Team for a pair of upcoming friendlies against Chile, announced U.S. Head Coach Jill Ellis and the United States Soccer Federation. In addition, FW Diana Matheson and MF Desiree Scott were called to represent the Canadian Women’s National Team for a friendly against Brazil. The matches will serve as the final tune-ups before CONCACAF Women’s Championship in October as the teams vie to qualify for the 2019 FIFA World Cup in France.

Ellis named 23 players to the training camp roster for two late summer friendlies against Chile, taking place on Friday, Aug. 31, Presented by Volpi at StubHub Center in Carson, Calif. (9 p.m. MT on ESPN2) and on Tuesday, Sept. 4 at Avaya Stadium in San Jose, Calif. (8 p.m. MT on ESPN2 and UDN). Ellis and her staff will choose 18 players to suit up for each of the games.
Meanwhile, Canada Head Coach Kenneth Heiner-Moller called in 23 players for the training camp roster ahead of the matchup with Brazil on Sunday, Sept. 2 at TD Place in Ottawa.
The five players are scheduled to return prior to the regular season finale on Saturday, Sept. 8 against the Chicago Red Stars at Rio Tinto Stadium. Tickets are available now at
