Real Monarchs SLC (17-6-2, 53 points); Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC 2 (9-14-4, 31 points)

Player to Watch – Defender Jamal Jack has been a key component in the ironclad defense of Switchbacks FC. With a team-leading 147 clearances and 24 blocks, the 30-year-old Trinidad & Tobago international has helped keep Colorado tied for fourth in the league for least goals conceded with 28. Jack’s speed and timing for tackles has made him a valuable player and one to watch out for on the Switchbacks FC back line.

History – Real Monarchs SLC trail Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC 5-4-1 in the all-time series between the two. This will be the first time in a year these two 2015 expansion teams have met, the last being in mid-August of 2017 at Rio Tinto Stadium which saw Real Monarchs prevail in a heated battle after two early goals provided the Monarchs the 2-0 win.

Last Five – Colorado Springs has hit a rough patch, coming away with just one win in recent weeks for a record of 1-4-0. The single victory came from the lone home game played in the last five games, which saw the Switchbacks pull away from OKC Energy with a 2-0 clean sheet. Colorado will be looking to defend its home and pick up another critical three points in its race for a playoff position when it plays host to Western Conference leaders Real Monarchs on Wednesday night.
