HERRIMAN, Utah (Tuesday, October 5, 2021) – Real Salt Lake goalkeeper David Ochoa has been named by Head Coach Raúl Chabrand to the U21 Mexico National Team for its upcoming camp in Marbella, Spain.
As part of the training camp the U21 Mexico National Team will face the U21 sides of Romania and Sweden, beginning with Romania on October 9, followed by Sweden on October 11. Both matches will take place at the Marbella Football Center in Marbella, Spain.
Ochoa, 20, has appeared in 17 matches for RSL this season during which he has earned four clean sheets and made 51 saves for a 65.4 save percentage. This will mark Ochoa’s first official training camp at the U21 level since electing to represent Mexico on the international stage earlier this year.
Real Salt Lake is 11-11-6 (39 points) and fifth in the Western Conference entering the international break. RSL will return to action against Rocky Mountain Cup Rival Colorado Rapids on Saturday, October 16 at 7:30 p.m. MT. The match will be broadcast live locally on KMYU and ESPN 700, with the live stream on the KSL TV app with tickets being available for purchase at RSL.com.
