HERRIMAN, Utah (Friday, September 16, 2022) – Real Salt Lake midfielder* Braian Ojeda *has been selected by Head Coach Guillermo Barros Schelotto for the Paraguay National Team. Los Guaraníes are set to play United Arab Emirates on Friday, September 23 in Austria and Morocco on Tuesday, September 27 in Spain.
Ojeda, 22, is currently in his first season with Real Salt Lake, having joined the Claret-and-Cobalt on loan from English Premier Side Nottingham Forrest in August of this year as the Club’s first-ever U-22 Initiative player. The midfielder recently earned his first start under Head Coach Pablo Mastoreni.
Ojeda made his Paraguay National Team debut on September 2, 2021 in a World Cup qualifier against Ecuador and has since made three more appearances, including starts against Brazil and Uruguay.
