Player to Watch – Forward Irvin Parra has become an integral part of Lights FC’s attack, leading his side in goals scored and assists. The 26-year-old American has tallied ten goals and five assists in 22 appearances, having notched a goal and two assists in four of the last goal-scoring Lights FC games. Parra can be clinical in front of goal as both a finisher and a playmaker, proving to be one to watch during Wednesday’s game.
History – Real Monarchs and Las Vegas Lights FC have met only three times since the Lights FC inaugural season in 2018. The two share a record of 1-1-1 across those three games, so far only meeting once at Zions Bank Stadium in the stadium’s opening match while playing to a scoreless draw. With a goal differential of one in the Monarchs favor, not much separates the two sides heading into Wednesday’s contest.
Last Five – Las Vegas Lights FC has only seen one win in its last five games, coming away with a record of 1-2-2. The lone victory came from a narrow 1-0 win over Portland Timbers 2. On the road, however, Lights FC have only secured one win that came in late June over 2019 expansion side El Paso Locomotive FC. Now Lights FC will arrive at Zions Bank Stadium where it will face a Monarchs side that has a home record of 8-2-2 this season.
