HERRIMAN, Utah (Wednesday, April 9, 2025) - Real Monarchs SLC today announced the signing of 20-year-old Colombian attacker Brayan Campaz Sandoval for the 2025 season. The Monarchs acquire Sandoval via loan from South American power Millonarios FC, which currently sits atop the table in Colombia’s Categoría Primera A.
Spending the last three-and-a-half years within Millonarios - the previous club of former RSL man Andrés Gómez - Sandoval makes the move to the Wasatch Front for his first taste of American futbol. The former Millonarios U20 captain boasts two professional appearances, his first coming against Club Bolívar of Bolivia’s División Profesional during a CONMEBOL Libertadores cup match on May 8, 2024.
Sandoval brings a versatile attacking presence to the Monarchs. Comfortable as an attacking midfielder and a winger, the right-footed attacker looks to break through in Head Coach Mark Lowry’s deep offensive unit as he seeks his first professional goal.
Real Monarchs return to Herriman this week, looking to bounce back from its 1-2 loss Sunday against Ventura County in St. George, Utah, where it hosted its inaugural MLS NEXT Pro match in the southern Utah market. The Monarchs now welcome Oakland-based The Town FC to the Beehive State this Thursday, April 10, at Zions Bank Stadium for its third match in a four-game home stretch. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. MT with broadcast set for Apple TV+ / MLS Season Pass. Tickets are available at the door.
