HERRIMAN, Utah (Thursday, February 8, 2024) – Real Monarchs, in conjunction with MLS NEXT Pro, today announced its 2024 regular-season schedule and the return of the innovative “pick-your-opponent" playoff format for 2024. The League’s third season will begin on Friday, March 15 and will feature 29 clubs: 27 MLS affiliates and two independent teams, Carolina Core FC and Chattanooga FC, who make their MLS NEXT Pro debut in 2024.
Real Monarchs kick off its 10th season in 2024, now led by new Head Coach Mark Lowry, hosting its home and season opener on Friday, March 15 at Zions Bank Stadium in Herriman against Portland Timbers 2 at 8:00 p.m. MT.
Throughout the 2024 calendar, the Monarchs will play 28 matches over 30 weeks (14 home / 14 away), facing each divisional opponent three times as well as other intraconference rivals to round out this year's schedule. Decision Day 2024 will see the Monarchs take on LA Galaxy II at Zions Bank Stadium on Sunday, October 6 at 2:00 p.m. MT.
For a third consecutive season, Monarchs will compete in the MLSNP Pacific Division, which includes LAFC2, LA Galaxy II, Portland Timbers 2, Tacoma Defiance, San Jose Earthquakes II and Vancouver Whitecaps 2.
Tickets for Real Monarchs matches cost just $5 and are available at the ticket booth on game day.
The complete 2024 regular season schedule is available on mlsnextpro.com and consists of 406 regular season matches.
The majority of regular season matches, plus all Decision Day matches, playoff matches and MLS NEXT Pro Cup, will be available to watch live on MLS Season Pass on the Apple TV app. The remainder of regular season matches will stream live on mlsnextpro.com.
