On Brayan Gómez and Timi Sobowale’s debuts:
“I think they did really well. Gómez was doing good things for the team, he’s getting used to the team and he’s coming back from being injured. He’s understanding what we want and what the team needs from him. It’s going to take a little bit of time for him, but he played really well. Timi was very solid defensively. When we were attacking he tried to go forward. He just got here a couple days ago, so he needs to get his feet back to do more for the attack. I’m really happy with his job defensively.”
On the match:
“I loved the energy and the personality that the team played with today. We played with the ball, pressed their position, tried to establish possession and dictate the tempo of the game. We know that New Mexico is a good team, they have good quality and can score in many ways. I think the team did a really good job today and I’m really proud of them.”
Defender Timi Sobowale
On his debut:
“I just want to thank everyone for coming out today. It means a lot to me and to the team. It was a great experience for me.”
On the match:
“You could see that in the game itself we didn’t really create much, only from set pieces. You can definitely see that the team is growing. It’s a new team. These kinds of games are only going to make us better.”
On his contribution to team moving forward:
“I plan to bring energy and I’ll try to make the back four as solid as I can. I also want to try to get some assists and some goals.”
