Man of the Match: Real Salt Lake Homegrown goalkeeper Gavin Beavers was strong between the posts, earning seven saves on 20 shots faced, 11 on target, in the tough loss against North Texas SC. Beavers made four of his seven saves in the first half to keep the game close going into the halftime break, All the goals conceded came after he made the initial save or from penalty kicks. Additionally, The RSL Homegrown was also perfect in his distribution, posting a 100% passing percentage.
Telling Stat: Following tonight’s loss, this is the first time in seven matches Real Monarchs have been shut out. The Club had netted at least one goal in every match since its 2-0 loss to 2023 MLS expansion club St. Louis City 2 on June 25. During that time, the Monarchs had found the back of the net 14 times across all competitions with its biggest scoring spree coming in a 4-0 victory over Timbers 2. Midfielder Tyrone Mondi led the way for the Club in the seven match span, scoring five goals since July 1.
